Book review – The Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory

I’ve just finished reading The Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory and really enjoyed it.  Fascinating the way the fiction is wound round fact.  It is set in the 1400’s in the time of the War of the Roses and follows the life of Jacquetta, the Duchess of Bedford.

Whilst I’ve been reading, I’ve taken a few looks at my son’s Kings and Queens book and now have a basic knowledge of the reign of Henry VI.  Not something I’ve done before during reading, but on this occasion I felt compelled to learn.

I’ve previously read and enjoyed both The White Queen and The Red Queen.  And I’ve now added The Kingmaker’s Daughter to my reading wishlist.
