Beano and Dandy Giftbook review

My children love reading and are always very pleased to review books. This time I got the chance to select a book of my choice to review for free from The Works. So as the boys are really into The Beano at the moment, I thought I would surprise them with the Beano and Dandy Giftbook. They are always dipping into a big boxful of old Beano comics which were found in their grandparents loft.

Beano and Dandy Giftbook

The Works is an online store who sell books, toys, gifts, stationery and arts & crafts at discount prices. The books section includes a wide range of genres for both adults and children.

They were very good at sharing this book and took turns to read the comic strips. They both preferred to read this alone, rather than out loud, which is how they usually read their Beano comics too. The book also came with a set of masks.

Although they are familiar with The Beano comics and annuals, The Dandy is new for them and son1 loved this too. However son2 wanted to stick with what he knew and only read the Beano stories in the book.

And here is their video review of this book.

You may purchase this book via The Works for £4.99 compared to a RRP of £12.99.  That is great value in my opinion.

If you have a blog and wish to review a book from The Works you can fill out a form on their website.

I’d love to hear who is your favourite character from The Beano or The Dandy. Mine was Roger the Dodger.
