Real Mums All-Bran Challenge

Britmums have challenged bloggers to take part in the Real Mums of All-Bran 5-Day Challenge which is all about embracing our tummies and the way they look. I was too late to get the free products, but I have purchased a packet of All-Bran bran flakes so that I could participate.

So I tried my bran flakes for 5 consecutive days as per the challenge. I found them a rather boring breakfast, but the Golden Crunch, Red Berry Crunch and Chocolate Wheats varieties sound more tasty. I’ve never been particularly bothered with digestive issues, so can’t say I noticed a difference by eating All-Bran. Otherwise I’m generally happy with my tummy, although more toning exercise would help. My regular breakfast cereal is oat based rather than bran.

And did you know that 90 to 95 per cent of the ‘happy’ hormone serotonin is made in the gut? A study* of 1,000 UK women found 52 per cent experience digestive complaints, such as bloating or gas, at least once a week. Eating fibre everyday is a simple remedy for happy tums.

Disclosure.  I didn’t receive any free product.  All opinions are my own.
