Supertato Veggies Assemble by Sue Hendra – book review

Disclosure.  This post is a review of a product I was sent for free.  All opinions are my own.

Although son2 now enjoys chapter books, he also still loves his picture books and one of his favourites is Supertato. So he was delighted when we received another book from the series free to review. This one is Supertato Veggies Assemble, which will be published on April 21st.

Supertato

This is what it says on the back cover.

Supertato to the rescue!

The Evil Pea is on the loose and there’s anarchy in the aisles!
Can our supermarket superhero divert disaster?
Or is he going to need backup?

Son2 loved this book and has drawn a picture of Supertato and one of his other hero friends, the Tomato, who son2 has decided, must be called Super Tomato. He told me that Pea is always bad.

We’re already big fans of Supertato, but my older daughter is currently reading and enjoying Violet and the Pearl of the Orient by Harriet Whitehorn:

‘The Third Bullet’ A Bob Lee Swagger Novel By Stephen Hunter. I love conspiracy theories and this is probably the grandaddy of them all…will we ever know the real truth behinf the assasination of JFK?

Love the drawing! It sounds like such a fun book. I’d have to pick one of the R.L. Stine books like this one – Why-Im-Not-Afraid-of-Ghosts/R-L-Stine/Ghosts-of-Fear-Street/ – I used to love them as a kid! #readwithme

I don’t think my daughter has a favourite book character as such, shes very much into her Disney Princess books at the moment though. She does love an audiobook though and I think her favourite to listen to is How To Train Your Dragon 🙂 #triedtested

I think my favourite has to be Game Changers –
