The Dinosaur That Pooped

Although son2 now enjoys chapter books, he also still loves his picture books. So he was very pleased when we were offered the chance to review ‘The Dinosaur That Pooped Daddy’ for free. This is from a series of books that he already loves. Last year he chose to buy ‘The Dinosaur That Pooped a Lot’ with his World Book Day token.

And when the package arrived, we found not one book, but two inside. We had also received a free copy of The Dinosaur That Pooped a Rainbow.

The Dinosaur That Pooped

So firstly, The Dinosaur That Pooped Daddy.
This is what it says on the back cover.

Danny and Dinosaur can’t find Daddy anywhere – do you know where he’s hiding?

Count down from ten to one and help them find his hiding place.

Son2 loved finding Daddy, in guess what? A big pile of dinosaur poo! This is a great book to help with number skills. And an ideal gift with Father’s Day coming up this weekend.

And secondly, The Dinosaur That Pooped a Rainbow.
This is what it says on the back cover.

Danny and Dinosaur spot a rainbow in the sky.

Join them as they learn about the colours they can see.

Son2 loved this book even more as the huge dinosaur poo hid the purple and pink castle, his least favourite colours. A great book to help with colours.

The Dinosaur That Pooped

The Dinosaur That Pooped series is written by Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter, of McBusted and McFly pop band fame. Both books are currently available on Amazon for £3.99 each compared to a RRP of £4.99 for a board book copy. These lovely colourful books for young children are published by Red Fox, an imprint of Penguin.

These lovely board books are ideal for little fingers and great to read out loud. Also good learning skills on counting and colours. And books about dinosaurs and poo are always going to be a real winner with kids in my opinion.

And here are some fun free Dinosaur That Pooped activity sheets and a Father’s Day card for your children to enjoy.

I’d love to hear about your child’s favourite books.

We read The Dinosaur that Pooped the Planet recently, my boy loved it and couldn’t quite believe we were actually reading a story about poo! Thanks for sharing the links to the activities too.
