The Earl of Sussex by Tammy Andresen

I have received a free e-copy of the book The Earl of Sussex by Tammy Andresen to review.

Here is the book blurb.

Wickedly sinful, the Earl of Sussex, is an unrepentant rake. The Wicked Earls’ Club is the perfect place for a man of his station to indulge. That is until his parents force a match that threatens to rob him of his freedom. Unwilling to be tamed, he travels to meet his bride and demand she put a stop to this farce. Except Lady Tabitha is nothing he expected, and everything he never knew he wanted. Too bad this fiery wallflower is equally bent on ending their engagement.

Lady Tabitha, daughter of a duke, will not be betrothed to a rake no matter what her father thinks of his social connections. As long as she doesn’t stare into the depths of his green eyes, or linger on the strong lines of his jaw, she should be able to scheme her way out of this engagement. That is, if her intended groom would just cooperate with her plans.

This is the first title in the Wicked Earls Club series, where 12 different authors each write a story about one of the 12 Wicked Regency Earls.

Luke, the Earl of Sussex is irritated because his parents are arranging a marriage for him to Lady Tabitha, daughter of the Duke of Waverly. She is known as being a wallflower at every ball, so he, a renowned rake, imagines he will die of boredom. Tabbie is equally put out when her father tells her the plan. She doesn’t want to marry a rake and gambler.

How can they get out of this plan and do they both still want to when they meet?

The Earl of Sussex is available on Amazon, currently priced at 99p in Kindle format. The first title in Wicked Regency Romance (Wicked Earls’ Club) series. This is a short light romantic read, but I did feel that it ended rather abruptly.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling Author, Tammy Andresen lives with her husband and three children just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She grew up on the Seacoast of Maine, where she spent countless days dreaming up stories in blueberry fields and among the scrub pines that line the coast. Her mother loved to spin a yarn and Tammy filled many hours listening to her mother retell the classics. It was inevitable that at the age of 18, she headed off to Simmons College, where she studied English literature and education. She never left Massachusetts but some of her heart still resides in Maine and her family visits often.

Is it just me that thinks he looks naked on that photo?! I had to do a double take. This sounds entertaining, but not my cup of tea!
