Disclosure. This post is a review of an e-book I was sent for free. All opinions are my own.
I have received a free e-copy of the book The Viscount and the Spinster by Katherine Ann Madison to review.
Here is the book blurb.
Lady Juliette is in need of a hero.
Which is odd for her because she’s spent her life as first an independent bluestocking and then defiantly chose spinsterhood over marriage. But since striking out on her own she’s been…lost.
She can’t go back to her old life and the path forward that had seemed so clear before had become as muddled and grey as the fog that rolls in off the ocean where she conducts her research. Which way should she go?
But just when she’s at her darkest a ray of light appears in the form of Mr. Jonathon Richmond. A boat owner, he takes her out to sea where she can finally complete the work she needs. It all seems simple enough, as does the attraction building between her and the fisherman. But he’s far more than he appears and his real identity just might break the tender bond developing between them.
Is he the answer to her prayer or the shortest way to a broken heart?
Katherine Ann Madison is a pseudonym of prolific author Tammy Andresen and this is the fourth title in her sweet Regency Romance series Matchmaking on the Marriage Mart. The story works perfectly as a stand-alone read.
We get to know Juliet a lot better this time, best friend of Tillie, the heroine of the previous title, The Baron and the Bluestocking. Both Juliet and Tillie love science and Juliet has chosen to remain a spinster and focus her attentions on research of marine life. She loves her independence and her cottage by the sea, but she feels lonely especially now she knows that Tillie isn’t planning to come and stay.
As she walks along the beach at dusk, a man checking lobster traps, surprises her. He introduces himself as Jonathon Richmond and he cooks the lobsters on the beach, sharing the supper with Juliet. It is so nice to spend time with someone, as she shares her tale.
The Viscount and the Spinster is available on Amazon in Kindle format. Another nice light sweet innocent romantic read from Katherine Ann Madison.
About Tammy Andresen

She grew up on the Seacoast of Maine, where she spent countless days dreaming up stories in blueberry fields and among the scrub pines that line the coast. Her mother loved to spin a yarn and Tammy filled many hours listening to her mother retell the classics. She never left Massachusetts but some of her heart still resides in Maine and her family visits often.
