Reducing Waste

I’ve added a new angle to my blog in 2019 to help raise awareness of how plastic pollution seems to be spinning out of control globally. I’m now trying to do my bit for the planet by leading a more sustainable and eco lifestyle, reducing waste, in particular plastic. I was already doing the obvious like using a reusable water bottle and cloth shopping bags, but now I’m focussing much more. I’ve noticed that some of what I’m implementing reminds me of how I was brought up as a child in a thrifty household. But somewhere along the line, I diverged. Where did I go wrong? Hopefully I can get back on track now.

Here are my posts documenting my journey towards a plastic free future. I don’t know if I can succeed in reaching zero waste, but I will do my best.

I live in the UK and from reading other posts, I have noticed that recycling varies widely across different councils. I’m finding it difficult to understand why if one council can say recycle an item like blister packs, others can’t.

Do let me know your eco friendly suggestions and tips please.
