Here is the book blurb.

A hero in disguise…

When a mystery man saves her from bandits, Emily Carrington cannot deny that she’s intrigued. Perhaps infatuated is the better word. But she’s got no time for such fancies. She has to marry quickly before her family’s secrets are exposed and she is ruined. The problem is that no matter how hard she attempts to pay attention to her parade of suitors, one set of glittering dark eyes haunts both her waking and sleeping hours. Who is Emily’s hero and will she ever get to see him again?

A lady in need…

Lord Brandon Winthrop, Duke of Lancaster, fell in love with Emily Carrington the moment he first laid eyes on her. She’s everything he’d ever dreamed of and the one woman he can never have. The daughter to his missing business partner, he’s sworn to protect her from the very forces attempting to take his livelihood and his life. For her sake, he has to stay away.

But fate has other plans.

Duke of Dishonor is book 11 in the ongoing Lords of Scandal series.

SPOILER ALERT – if you haven’t read Duke of Decadence (book 9) and Marquis of Menace (book 10) yet and are planning to do so, stop reading this review now.

The prologue is a flashback to six weeks ago, when Emily was rescued by a mystery man in book 9. This is Brandon, business partner of missing Lucas Carrington, father of Emily and her sisters.

This story begins with Brandon undercover tracking the ring of thieves, before rushing to the Den of Sins to warn the Duke of Devonhall that there is a plot afoot to kidnap either Emily or Abigail. But putting the money first, he is almost too late!

A rather tangled tale, but a good read.

I do have one controversial issue with this particular story, the spelling of Dishonor rather than Dishonour in the title. In my opinion, when writing fiction set in Regency London, I consider that it would be more appropriate to use British spelling rather than American spelling, especially in the title. I’ve now read over 40 titles by Tammy Andresen and have noticed a number of American spellings like math from time to time.

Duke of Dishonor is available on Amazon in both Kindle format and paperback. As per usual a nice light short romantic story from Tammy.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling Author, Tammy Andresen lives with her husband and three children just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She grew up on the Seacoast of Maine, where she spent countless days dreaming up stories in blueberry fields and among the scrub pines that line the coast. Her mother loved to spin a yarn and Tammy filled many hours listening to her mother retell the classics. It was inevitable that at the age of 18, she headed off to Simmons College, where she studied English literature and education. She never left Massachusetts but some of her heart still resides in Maine and her family visits often.
