Dettol products review

I received a free 500ml bottle of Dettol Anti-Bacterial Surface Cleaner and a packet of 72 Dettol Anti-Bacterial Cleansing Surface Wipes to review.

Dettol

I am sure most of us know and trust the Dettol brand. I have been using their antiseptic disinfectant liquid for years now, but hadn’t tried either of these two products. I do use a different brand surface cleanser after each meal. I don’t currently use surface wipes although I used to use them regularly when the boys were younger on things like changing mats. Now I just use pocket packs of a different brand of antibacterial hand wipes when out and about, carrying them in my handbag.

So putting these two products to the test in the kitchen after cooking and eating tea. I used the spray in just the same way as my usual brand on the cooker, kitchen surfaces and table and was equally satisfied with the result. It cuts through grease and grime. And I repeated the same test the next day with the wipes. I found just 2 wipes were sufficient for the whole kitchen. Very pleased although I personally preferred using the spray.

My granite surface isn’t ideal for a before and after photo, but I’ve circled a dried-on blob of strawberry ice-cream in the left hand picture, which I easily cleaned with the Dettol wipe.

Dettol wipes put to the test

The current RRP for these products is £2 for a 500ml bottle of the surface cleanser and £2 for a 36 pack of the wipes and both are available in most major supermarkets. I believe this price is of similar value to other brands. I would be quite happy to recommend both these products.

yes you need all the convenient shortcuts you can get for cleaning, when you have a tiny baby. More time for a quick nap at the same time as baby sleeps
