Disclosure. This post is a review of a product I was sent for free. All opinions are my own.
Son1 was delighted to be offered the chance to read Shoutykid 2 for free having previously enjoyed reading the first Shoutykid book which he reviewed here.
Each day he would ask is it here yet and once it did arrive, he started reading it straight-away. And it only took him a few days to read, much much faster than the first book.
The full title of the book is Shoutykid How Harry Riddles Mega-Massively Broke the School. It is written by Simon Mayle.
Shoutykid 2 is a very funny story about 10 year old Harry Riddles who writes shouty letters to famous people! Son1 found it very funny and gave it a big thumbs up.
Here is an example of one letter.
Dear Prince George,
It kind of sucks when your mum has a new baby and everyone’s like, ‘Congratulations, isn’t it great?’ and you’re thinking, ‘Not really, I might have to share my bedroom.’ But maybe you don’t have that problem? Don’t worry that your Mum and Dad will like the new baby more than you – they probably won’t and anyway you still get to be King one day so Ha! I won’t get my own country but I am better than the twins at X-box!
Good luck and have fun
Harry Riddles
PS. Say hi to the Queen from me.
Here is son1’s video review of Shoutykid 2.
Shoutykid 2 is currently retailing on Amazon for £6.99 and is also available in kindle edition. It is targetted at children, age 9+ and is published by Harper Collins.
And son1 is very much looking forward to the third book about How Harry Riddles got nearly Almost Famous which is due to be published later this year in August.
Son1 also reminded me to tell you about Harry’s blog which is on the Shoutykid website.
And I’m hosting a rafflecopter competition to giveaway a copy of Shoutykid 2 to one lucky winner.

It’s not a series I’d heard of before, but I think my middle child might enjoy these books, I’ll keep my eyes open.

Aw this sounds fun! My girls are a bit young for proper books like this yet, but I really look forward to them getting into this sort of stuff, sooo much more fun to read with them than the little miss books for the 500th time!
